CONSTITUTIONAL (SENATE):
SJR0021 filed by Sen. Mae Beavers (R-17) proposes an amendment to Article VII of the Tennessee Constitution in order to move the election of county officers from August to November. Those currently in office at the time the change in election occurs will have their term in office extended by nearly a year. A similar House/Senate Bill has also been filed.
SJR0023 filed by Sen. Mae Beavers (R-17) proposes a constitutional amendment to provide for the popular election of the attorney general for the state identical to SJR0020 filed by Sen. Mike Faulk (R-4).
SENATE:
SJR0022 filed by Sen. Steve Southerland (R-1) memorialing Greeneville High School football team, TSSAA Class 4A state champions.
SJR0024 filed by Sen. Mike Faulk (R-4) memorializing Team Cherokee of the Scholastic Clay Target Program of Kingsport.
